Sotto Sopra

Chef and Restaurateur Alessandro Pavoni, along with his partners from their well-respected two hat Mosman restaurant, Ormeggio at The Spit, are opening a more casual yet still sensational venue in Newport. Joining the partnership of Alessandro Pavoni, Bill Drakopoulos and Victor Moya is Mattia Rossi, former head chef at Chiosco by Ormeggio.

Sotto Sopra will be fully licensed and will also offer BYO wine every Tuesday. The trattoria style restaurant will serve Italian inspired dishes in a relaxed and informal setting. Expect glorious pasta, and from the fully imported Italian wood oven, some simple yet exciting dishes that are truly inspired by quality, seasonal produce.

Perfect for groups, date nights or families, Sotto Sopra offers a variety of seating options including an iconic 5-metre-long communal Feasting Table. Sotto Sopra will open in early 2017.
